What people say
Japanese restaurants are celebrated for their exquisite balance of flavors, fresh ingredients, and meticulous presentation. At Tanuki Raw, this culinary philosophy is brought to life in a vibrant setting that perfectly complements the artistic vibe of the Bras Basah and Bugis arts district.
One standout feature of Tanuki Raw is its innovative approach to traditional Japanese cuisine. The restaurant offers an array of dishes that not only honor classic flavors but also introduce modern twists that excite the palate. For instance, the Chilli Crab Supreme is a must-try—a delightful combination of soft-shell crab, golden crab cake, and charcoal brioche, all enveloped in a rich chilli crab sauce. This dish encapsulates Singaporean flavors while showcasing the creativity that defines Tanuki Raw's menu.
The atmosphere at Tanuki Raw is equally inviting. Nestled within the National Design Centre and sharing space with lifestyle shop Middle Ground, it provides a unique environment where guests can unwind and enjoy their meals amidst artistic surroundings. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch or a lively dinner with friends, this restaurant sets the perfect backdrop for any occasion.
Moreover, Tanuki Raw’s commitment to value is evident through its enticing offerings. With options like affordable sushi sets paired with drinks and free-flow gyoza during happy hours, diners can indulge without breaking the bank. This focus on accessibility makes it an ideal spot for both regulars and newcomers eager to explore modern Japanese dining.
In summary, Tanuki Raw stands out not just for its delicious food but also for its engaging atmosphere and thoughtful pricing strategies. It’s a place where culinary artistry meets community spirit—making every visit an enjoyable experience worth savoring.
