It’s time to say goodbye.
With full hearts, we want to thank every single one of you who walked through our doors, for the meals shared, the conversations held, the quiet nights and the lively ones too.
Nomiya has always been more than a place to eat or drink. It was a space shaped by the people who filled it, and we’re grateful for every memory created here.
Our last day of service will be 31 Dec 2025. Until then, we’re still here, and we’d love to see you.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Truly.

Did you know Trengganu Street was once called “Japanese Street”? 🇯🇵
In the early 1900s, this part of Chinatown was known as “Yap Pun Kai”. The street bore witness to many stories of sweat and toil through those tumultuous years.
Today, Trengganu Street remains just as bustling but in a very different way. It now plays host to both tourists and locals, its shops filled with a vibrant mix of flavours and cultures.
From hardship to hospitality, it feels like the spirit of the street has come full circle. 🍶
Is it a coincidence that Nomiya is on Trengganu Street? Maybe. Or maybe not.

What people say
Japanese restaurants are known for their attention to detail, quality ingredients, and impeccable presentation. Nomiya, located on Trengganu Street in Singapore, is no exception. This Japanese restaurant offers an amalgamation of sake, fine food, and good music that creates a unique dining experience in the heart of Chinatown.
One of the standout dishes at Nomiya is the Truffle Chirashi Don. This vibrant medley of diced sashimi is sure to brighten up any week and is available for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant also offers a pickled trio of daikon, shallots, and burdock root that adds flavor and depth to every meal.
For those looking for something more adventurous, Nomiya's Eihire (dried stingray fin) is an Izakaya staple that is lightly grilled over charcoal. It's chewy, mildly sweet, and collagen-filled - making it the perfect pairing with any drink.
But perhaps what sets Nomiya apart from other Japanese restaurants is its simplicity redefined with dishes like Charcoal-Grilled Daikon Steak. This dish showcases the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients cooked to perfection.
With new opening hours starting from June 12th, you can now indulge in your favorite charcoal-grilled skewers every day of the week at Nomiya. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a night out with friends, this Japanese restaurant has something for everyone.
