What people say

The Original Katong Laksa since 1950s - Janggut Laksa is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves authentic Singaporean cuisine. The story behind the restaurant is fascinating, with founder Mr Ng Juat Swee, also known as Janggut, selling his laksa on the streets of Marine Parade beach area in the 40s' carrying metal buckets over his shoulders. The noodles were cut short and eaten with a spoon, which became a trademark of their Katong Laksa.

Since then, the restaurant has expanded to several locations across Singapore, including Roxy Square, Queensway Shopping Centre, 331 Upper Paya Lebar Road, Chinatown Point and Ang Mo Kio Hub. Despite this expansion, they have not compromised on the quality of their food or their mission to share the taste of Singapore's heritage with future generations.

Their laksa is different from others as it's a Peranakan Nonya version that will leave your taste buds wanting more. The restaurant takes pride in its food and ensures that every dish served is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Singaporean cuisine, head over to The Original Katong Laksa since 1950s - Janggut Laksa today!
