For public transport, take the MRT to Tai Seng Station (CC11) and then take bus number 8, 62 or 90 from the nearby bus stop. Alight at the Upper Paya Lebar Road bus stop and walk towards the restaurant's location.

The Original Katong Laksa since 1950s - Janggut Laksa is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves authentic Singaporean cuisine. The story behind the restaurant is fascinating, with founder Mr Ng Juat Swee, also known as Janggut, selling his laksa on the streets of Marine Parade beach area in the 40s' carrying metal buckets over his shoulders. The noodles were cut short and eaten with a spoon, which became a trademark of their Katong Laksa.
Since then, the restaurant has expanded to several locations across Singapore, including Roxy Square, Queensway Shopping Centre, 331 Upper Paya Lebar Road, Chinatown Point and Ang Mo Kio Hub. Despite this expansion, they have not compromised on the quality of their food or their mission to share the taste of Singapore's heritage with future generations.
