As a 100% Muslim and Singaporean-owned SME, MKuking offers dishes that are infused with aromatic flavors of street food with a modern twist. Their signature dish, "Mee Wak Katok," is a revival of an iconic family recipe from the 1970s, now known as "Katok Kotak," which features yellow or kway teow noodles in a richly flavored broth accompanied by a fiery sambal chili. Additionally, their head chef has introduced the "Krusty Katok," a seafood version served with big prawns. With plans to revisit traditional and iconic dishes to enhance their flavors based on customer feedback, MKuking continues to serve up delicious cuisine that combines heritage with contemporary appeal.

Spicy lemongrass striploin bites⬇️

400g striploin (can sub with any protein)
Marinade: {Salt, blackpepper, chili powder & tumeric}
Ingredients:
*5 shallots
*5 cloves garlic
*5g galangal
*5g ginger
*5g whitebait (fried)
*6 stalks cili padi (more if you like spicy)
*1stalk red cili
*1stalk lemongrass
[* ingredients to blend coarsely]

Steps:
Fry the protein & set aside
Using the same oil (remove if too much)
Bruised lemongrass drop-in oil
Drop-in blended ingredients
Saute till fragrant
Drop-in striploin
Drop-in 2tbsp oyster sauce
Drop-in 2tbsp Thai cili sauce
Stir-well & drop-in {little bit of water}
Salt to taste
Off heat
Drop-in kaffir leaf
Drop-in grated lime skin
Ready to serve‼️

ANZAC biscuits. Slight sub on the recipe & tweak with lesser sweetness by using honey instead of syrup. The result to a crispy edge, with a soft chewy texture. 😋 ⬇️comment for "recipe please"

LAOS BAKED CHICKEN

Yield: 4 quarter chicken leg
Wet brining using milk
2tsp salt
2tsp sugar
Milk (make sure it covers the chicken)
Tips 1: poke or pierce the chicken for absorption
Tips 2: why milk? milk tenderize the chicken & retain the moisture. (Min 1½hr to brine)

For chicken marination
*1pc red onion
*2pcs red cili padi
*2 cloves garlic
*2 stalks lemongrass
*10g ginger
*10g tumeric
*1 corriander roots
{* ingredients to pound or blend}
½tbsp lime juice
½tsp fish sauce
½tsp rice vinegar
1tbsp dark soy sauce
1tbsp oyster sauce
1tbsp jaggery
Pinch salt & pepper
Remove chicken from brining & marinade well with all the ingredients. Leave it for a min of 2hrs before baking/grilling.

Oven setting & temperature
Skin side up place chicken
180°C for 15mins (fan "ON")
Flip over chicken 15mins (fan "OFF")
Flip over chicken & reduce temp 160°C (fan "OFF)
Ready to serve😋
Tips no 3: use a cooling rack & place chicken on oven for all-round balanced cooking.

Public Transport:
1. Take the MRT to Woodlands Station (North-South Line).
2. From Woodlands Station, take bus service 912 or 912M from the bus interchange.
3. Alight at the bus stop opposite Woodlands Ind Pk E9.
4. Walk towards Woodlands Ave 9 and turn left onto Woodlands Ind Pk E9.
5. Look for #01-04.

Driving/Parking:
1. If you are coming from the city center, take the SLE (Seletar Expressway) towards Woodlands.
2. Take Exit 10B onto Woodlands Ave 12.
3. Continue straight on Woodlands Ave 12 until you reach a roundabout.
4. Take the second exit onto Woodlands Ave 10.
5. Turn right onto Woodlands Ind Pk E9.
6. Look for parking spaces available in the area near #01-04.
