To stand amongst so many respected wh**ky professionals and dignitaries sharing a dram and celebrating a shared love for wh**ky, was truly a special moment.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for this recognition and for being part of our journey. Quaich Bar and Signature Reserve has always been about more than wh**ky. It has been about the people, the friendships, the memories and the community we have built along the way.

𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 𝟔: A pretty common everyday mistake. Wh**ky or Wh***ey. These days, this golden liquid is made all around the world. Of course, ultimately, the word means much less than the liquid. Changing the spelling is definitely not going to affect the taste of your wee dram in that glass, but you still gotta understand what’s the difference!

𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 𝟓: Single Malt wh**ky are better than any blended wh**ky. Wh**ky terminology can be confusing and misleading, and the term ‘blended’ has a negative connotation. Blended and Single Malt has many underlying factors involved and you will be surprised how different it can be.

𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 𝟒: The older the brand is perceived or rather advertised to be, the more trust people have in them. This has ensued in brands exaggerating their year of establishments or use dates that could correspond to a big event that happened during their ancestors’ years. This is something to ponder on and question ourselves how realistic advertising is.

𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 𝟑: Older taste better. This might just be one of the biggest myths in the wh**ky industry. Old whiskies are considered a higher tier and may be priced unreasonably high in the market. Let us not be influenced by public beliefs and learn the right way of selecting your whiskies.

A lot of brands have been using colour as a marketing technique and is gaining a lot of popularity. But let us tell you why a particular wh**ky should not be judged by the colour of it.
