We are pleased to formally renew the franchise partnership for PastaMania and Gelatofix in Cambodia.
Over the past 10 years, our franchise partner K Distribution has played a pivotal role in growing both brands across key mall locations and standalone outlets. Their continued commitment to brand development remains strong, with plans to open two additional Gelatofix units this year.
This milestone reflects a decade of collaboration, growth, and shared vision in bringing our brands to more customers in Cambodia.
We look forward to continuing this strong partnership and to many more years of growth, innovation, and shared success as we expand our presence and delight even more customers across the market.

Spreading Kindness, One Smile at a Time 💛
A warm smile.
A thoughtful gesture.
A simple “thank you.”
Sometimes, the smallest moments create the biggest impact.
Across our Commonwealth Concepts brands, our teams have been bringing kindness to life through heartfelt hospitality, meaningful conversations, and genuine care for every guest who walks through our doors. From welcoming guests with a smile, serving great food with pride, to creating memorable dining moments, kindness continues to be at the heart of what we do every day.
This campaign is more than just a badge or a card. It is about building a culture where kindness is shared with our guests, our teammates, and the community around us.
Thank you to all the amazing teams across the CWC brands for being part of this meaningful movement and continuing to spread kindness through every interaction 🌼
Together, let’s continue spreading kindness, one smile at a time.

💛 Kindness Through Every Connection
As part of our Spreading Kindness, One Smile at a Time campaign in partnership with the Singapore Kindness Movement, we spoke to team members across the Commonwealth Concepts family to hear their thoughts on kindness.
Our Group Head of Growth & Operations, Seah Ern Xu, shared:
“This is a meaningful initiative that reflects the culture we want to build across Commonwealth Concepts. One of my favourite sayings is that kindness costs nothing, but means everything. It is encouraging to see both our teams and guests interacting positively and contributing towards a kinder Singapore.”
From our chefs and service crew, to our merchandisers and HQ team, this campaign reminds us that kindness can take many forms: a smile, a kind word, a helping hand, or a moment of appreciation.
Together, we hope to continue building a culture where kindness is felt not only by our guests, but also within our teams across all Commonwealth Concepts brands 💛

First Time Mom Series | Mother's Day Week 2026
19 years of motherhood. And she would do it all over again.
You may know her as our Assistant Manager of Learning & Development. But at home, she is simply Alisya's mum. Meet Nor Iswani and her daughter, Nor Alisya Insheera, 19 years old. 🤍
When Iswani first held Alisya, everything else faded. In that single, quiet instant, she knew her world would revolve around this little girl.
Nineteen years later, it still does.
"I have a best friend who will always be by my side. That is what motherhood gave me."
And to close our First Time Mom Series — thank you to all six of our incredible mums for opening your hearts and sharing your stories with us. You have reminded us all what love truly looks like. 🌸

First Time Mom Series | Mother’s Day Week 2026
8 March 2020. She flew back to Singapore.
Zed was two months old. Four days later, the borders closed.
She missed his first birthday.
She missed his second.
For two years, she watched him grow through a CCTV screen.
You may know her as our Assistant Restaurant Manager at Native Kitchen. But behind that role is Maria Teresa — a mother who waited exactly two years to hold her son again.
“It is tough to endure the days when he needs you and you cannot be there.”
On 26 March 2022, she finally held Zed again.
He knew she was his mother. But the bond had to be rebuilt, slowly and with love.
And the rest is history. 🤍

First Time Mom Series | Mother's Day Week 2026
She thought motherhood was something you learned step by step. Then her daughter said something that changed everything.
You may know her as our Assistant Purchasing Manager. But at home, she is simply RuoZhen's mum. Meet Li Ting Ting and her little one, RuoZhen, 2.5 years old. 🤍
At the doctor's one day, RuoZhen was scared. She held on tight and whispered to herself — "Don't be afraid, Mom is here."
In that moment, Ting Ting realised motherhood was never something she had to learn. It was already in her all along.
She never had to find it. It found her. 🌸

First Time Mom Series | Mother's Day Week 2026
She grew up surrounded by noise, laughter, and a whole lot of love. And now she is passing all of that on.
You may know her as our Branding & Marketing Executive. But at home, she is simply Luke's mum. Meet Phedra Ang and her little one, Luke Tan, 1.5 years old. 🤍
Phedra didn't overthink motherhood. She just showed up, hands-on and fully present, the same way her family always showed up for her.
"I was just overwhelmingly happy. Like everything in life was about to change in the best way possible."
And it did. 🌸

First Time Mom Series | Mother’s Day Week 2026
Some moments in motherhood arrive quietly. And for Marian, that was exactly how it happened.
Meet Marian Ho, Marketing Manager at Commonwealth Concepts and first-time mum to little Lauren Tan, 3.5 months old.
It was the second night in the hospital. The adrenaline had faded, the room was still, and it was just her husband, Lauren, and her. That was the moment motherhood truly settled in.
“I never knew how boundless love could be.”
She never knew. Now she does. 🌸

First Time Mom Series | Mother’s Day Week 2026
No manual. No perfect answers. Just a mum figuring it out, one day at a time.
Meet Anna Toh, Assistant Operations Manager at Swissbake and first-time mum to little Raelyn, 1.5 years old.
Anna didn’t know what motherhood would feel like. But the moment she heard Raelyn cry and held her for the first time, she knew.
“Coming home and seeing her smile at me. That’s everything.”
This Mother’s Day Week, we’re sharing the real, unfiltered stories of six first-time mums from across the CWC family. Because motherhood deserves more than a one-day celebration. 🌸

*Six women. Six stories. One extraordinary kind of love.*
This Mother’s Day, Commonwealth Concepts celebrates the first-time mothers within our family of brands with each one navigating the beautiful, messy, and deeply meaningful journey of motherhood for the very first time.
From the quiet hospital moments to the sleepless nights, from the boundless love they never knew they had to the strength they never knew they needed — their stories remind us of what truly matters.
To our six incredible mothers — Anna, Marian, Phedra, Ting Ting, Maria, and Iswani — we see you, we celebrate you, and we are so proud to have you as part of our CWC family.
And to every mother across the Commonwealth Concepts family — whether you are a first-time mum, a seasoned mum, a mum of one, or a mum of many — this day is for you too.
Thank you for the love you pour into your families every single day, while still showing up for your teams with the same dedication and heart. You carry more than most people see and we want you to know that it does not go unnoticed.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our CWC mothers. You are seen, celebrated, and deeply appreciated. 💛

At Commonwealth Concepts (CWC), we are proud to be part of the Time for Acceptance launch at Bird Paradise last week, alongside Mastercard, St. Andrew's Autism Centre (SAAC), and other partners across Singapore.
The session brought together caregivers and organisations to share how small changes in our spaces and responses can make a real difference and what everyday experiences could look like for persons with autism and their families when those changes are made.
As a programme partner, we are piloting inclusive dining practices across our brands at The Marmalade Pantry, Baker & Cook, and Swissbake. This includes training our teams to better support persons with autism and their caregivers through simple, practical actions such as clear communication, allowing more time, and responding with patience and empathy.
To deepen our understanding, 14 of our team members also participated in hands-on volunteer sessions with SAAC, clocking over 150 hours. These ambassadors are now cascading their learnings to more than 50 team members across our outlets.
It was a meaningful reminder that inclusion is not just about infrastructure, but about how we show up in everyday moments.

Celebrating the women of Commonwealth Concepts ❤️
International Women’s Day 2026 was about more than just a date on the calendar, it was a celebration of the incredible women who bring our outlets to life every single day. From the heart of our kitchens to the front-of-house teams across all our brands, the energy across the group has been truly inspiring.
This year, we embraced the global theme by celebrating the power of community. Whether it was sharing a moment of appreciation or supporting one another through a busy shift, our teams proved that when we give our best to our colleagues and our guests, we all gain a stronger, more vibrant workplace. It is this spirit of collective strength that moves Commonwealth Concepts forward.
To every woman across our outlets: thank you for your dedication, your craft, and the passion you bring to hospitality.
Together, we can!

The power of quiet credibility.
For Irene Chua at MIYOSHI, leadership was a journey of transformation. Originally from West Malaysia and naturally reserved, Irene didn’t set out to be in the spotlight. Instead, she focused on the values her family instilled in her: hard work, respect, and a positive mindset. Over time, that dedication turned into a leadership style defined by trust and high standards.
Irene brings the theme to life by focusing on the growth of those around her. She believes that true leadership is about giving her team the tools to “level up” alongside her. By giving her trust and setting a calm, disciplined example under pressure, she gains a team that is confident, capable, and united. For Irene, the greatest result isn’t just a successful system, but it’s seeing her people thrive.
“Life is never easy, but it is full of joy. Learn when to let go and treat yourself nicely.”
Celebrating the thoughtful leadership of Irene and the women of Commonwealth Concepts.

The light in the dark.
For Maggie at Empress, resilience isn't just a word but it’s a life story. From navigating the complexities of business ownership to surviving cervical cancer and raising two children as a single mother, Maggie has faced life’s hardest chapters with an unwavering sense of optimism. Originally from Kuala Lumpur, she brings that same "outspoken" joy and tenacity to every guest interaction at Empress.
Maggie lives the theme by fostering a culture of mutual support. She believes that when we give our vulnerability and kindness to those around us, we gain the collective strength to overcome any obstacle. Whether it’s her children stepping up during personal loss or her team showing up for one another during a busy shift, Maggie proves that by giving our best to our community, we gain a purpose that is larger than ourselves.
"Trust yourself and your journey, even when it feels overwhelming. Every obstacle is shaping you."
Celebrating the indomitable spirit of Maggie and the women of Commonwealth Concepts.

The strategic backbone.
For Keat Kee in our Procurement team, success is found in the details. Managing the complex needs of multiple brands independently, she has built a career on the pillars of integrity and responsibility. While her work often happens behind the scenes from sourcing solutions and achieving cost savings the impact she creates is felt across the entire business.
Keat Kee embodies the theme through her commitment to operational excellence. By giving her full focus to process improvements and stakeholder management, she gains the trust of the brands she supports and the confidence to make high-stakes decisions. For Keat Kee, giving her best at work is a responsibility she carries with pride, setting a powerful example for her 22-year-old daughter.
"Believe in your abilities, be confident, and never stop learning."
Celebrating the precision and dedication of Keat Kee and the women of Commonwealth Concepts.

The heart of the house.
From the riverside town of Muar to the fast-paced world of PastaMania, Jennifer has always been driven by a simple goal: making someone’s day better. An extrovert by nature, she found her calling in the industry during a wedding internship, where she realized that hospitality isn’t just about service—it’s about creating memories that last a lifetime.
Jennifer brings the theme to life through her relentless pursuit of growth. Recently, she stepped out of her comfort zone to master new kitchen skills, giving her time and effort to understand every facet of the business. By giving this extra support to her team, she gained a more united, high-performing outlet and the satisfaction of seeing her team grow together. For Jennifer, passion is the fuel that turns a challenge into an accomplishment.
“It’s never too late to step forward, try something new, and go after what you truly want.”

The strength of a breadwinner.
For Anda Suherle at Baker & Cook, 24 years in the F&B industry has taught her one thing: your career is never just about you. As the eldest in her family and a proud mother, Anda has spent nearly two decades in Singapore building a legacy of resilience from navigating the closure of a previous company to being recognized at the EXSA ceremony for excellence.
Anda lives the philosophy by turning her decades of expertise into a roadmap for others. She believes that when she gives her knowledge freely to new team members, she gains a more energized, positive workplace where everyone has the chance to thrive. For Anda, “giving back” isn’t a task and it’s the energy that makes her day complete.
“Take a deep breath and remind yourself: you don’t have to do everything at once. Balance is power.”
Celebrating the unstoppable spirit of Anda and the women of Commonwealth Concepts.

The calm in the festive storm.
For Mimi at The Marmalade Pantry, leadership isn’t found in the quiet moments—it’s forged during the CNY rushes and the height of the festive season. As a working mother of three, she has traded the pursuit of “perfection” for the power of “progress.”
This International Women’s Day, we’re looking at the theme through Mimi’s lens: Giving clarity and composure to her team, so they can gain the confidence to lead.
“You are allowed to grow, rest, and choose yourself.”
Celebrating the quiet strength that moves Commonwealth Concepts forward.

CWC Celebrates International Women’s Day 2026
As we approach International Women’s Day this Sunday, Commonwealth Concepts (CWC) is proud to introduce six remarkable women from across our brands who embody this year’s global theme: “Give to Gain.”
These individuals represent the many ways women contribute to our organisation through leadership, mentorship, dedication to their teams, and the care they bring to their work every day. Their stories remind us that when we give our time, knowledge, and support to others, we often gain growth, resilience, and meaningful connections in return.
At CWC, we believe in recognising the people who shape our culture and community. By sharing their journeys, we hope to inspire more conversations about generosity, support, and the impact we can make together.
✨ Stay tuned next week as we feature each of their stories and the powerful ways they embody the spirit of “Give to Gain.”

We kicked off 2026 with our Annual Townhall, a meaningful flashback filled with joyful moments, hearty laughter, and reflections on our wins, milestones, and moments of giving back as one community.
It was a wonderful day celebrating the shared journey we have taken with our people over the past year. From recognising our Service Excellence and Long-Service Award recipients, to honouring our Food Safety Champions and Amazing Partners, the occasion was a powerful reminder that behind every milestone are individuals who choose to care, commit, and lead with purpose.
As we look ahead, our Chief Operating Officer, Brian Stampe, reminded us to stay focused on seizing opportunities and adapting for the future.
Thank you to everyone who made this Townhall so meaningful, from those on stage and behind the scenes, to our teams on the ground who show up every day. The energy in the room reflected the strength of our people and the future we are building together.
Together, We Can.
5 years strong as one CWC family.
