At Rempapa, our Nasi Lemak begins long before it reaches the plate.

The coconut rice, rich, fragrant, and deeply comforting, is slowly cooked over a 3-hour process to achieve its distinct texture and aroma. Because of its richness, the sambal plays an equally important role: a carefully balanced blend of sweet, sour, and salty flavours designed to complement and cut through the coconut-enriched rice.

It’s this harmony of flavours, alongside the time and care behind every component, that makes a truly satisfying plate of nasi lemak.

6 hours. 18 spices. A dish that speaks for itself.

This lamb shank rendang reflects what Rempapa is known for, respecting tradition while building bold, uncompromising flavours.
Slow-braised in coconut milk until fork-tender, every bite is rich, intense, and deeply spiced.

It’s not just food, it’s patience, heritage, and craft in one dish.

Chef Alan is back at the table for another makan session, this time enjoying one of our most comforting signatures.

While most lamb shanks lean heavily on red wine and herbs, ours is slow-braised for 6 hours in coconut milk and a bold blend of 18 spices, creating something deeply aromatic, rich, and uniquely Southeast Asian.

Fork-tender with layers of warmth, spice, and depth in every bite.

This is comfort food, redefined. Come experience a lamb shank unlike any other.

What people say

Rempapa, located on Paya Lebar Road #01-01/02/03 Park Place Residences At Plq, is a restaurant that offers a unique blend of Indian, Eurasian and Malay cuisine. Chef Damian D’Silva's personal contribution to the ongoing story of cuisine in Singapore is evident in every dish served at Rempapa. The Curry Chicken is a must-try dish as it draws inspiration from Indian and Eurasian cultures with a rempah base that has a combination of wet and dry spices adopted from the Malay gulai. The Babi Tulang Masak Assam is another dish that packs a punch with each bite as it is cooked in a rempah of chillies, shallots, belachan, candlenuts and other spices.

Apart from the main course dishes, Rempapa also offers traditional Malay steamed kueh called Talam Keladi. This heritage dessert comprises two layers: gula melaka custard on top and mashed yam cake on the bottom. Chef Damian's aunt passed down this recipe to him, which he now prepares for more people to enjoy.

The ambiance of Rempapa is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal place for family gatherings or intimate dinners with friends. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items, making recommendations based on your preferences.

Overall, Rempapa is an excellent restaurant that offers delicious food with unique flavors that will leave you wanting more. Book your table today to experience the best of Singaporean cuisine!
