COASTLINE CHAOS: BATAM
DAY 2
Day 2 was where things got properly sketchy.
Slippery slopes, mud puddles, deep ditches, fallen logs, and enough rough terrain to keep everyone honest and trust me when we say the trail looks manageable here but felt very different when you’re the one riding through it.
But that's exactly the kind of nonsense we came for.

COASTLINE CHAOS: BATAM
DAY 1
First stretch out of Singapore and straight into Batam heat.
150+km clocked, all the Barelang bridges checked off, peak hour traffic, dusty roads down to secret white sand beaches, and a run to the southern point of Batam.
Questionable decisions, a nice little dinner at a cafe, and a whole lot of throttle therapy with the crew.
This is what we mean when we say riding is better when it’s not too polished.
Day 2 incoming.

FIRST 45 // Rider 36
Gerard
Almost 2 years on a Mutt.
Kept it simple. Just riding.
Now it’s time for the next one. The R400.
-------------
What drew you to the R400?
“The aesthetics, the ease of customisation, and how accessible the parts are.”
What was your first impression when you rode it?
“The power. It’s smooth, and still really easy to manoeuvre.”
What are you looking forward to most with this bike?
“Making it my own, and being able to breeze through traffic after being on the 125.”
Super stoked to see you on the R400 bro!🫡

Beach Boy Reincarnated 🌊
C upgraded his licence and picked up a Honda CB350. Naturally, stock was never going to be enough.
He wanted to keep the same easygoing beach boy character, just with a little more presence. So he called, and we answered.
Swipe to the end to see where it all started👀
And if you're looking to customise your own? The DMs are always open.

FIRST 45 // Rider 05
Adi
Adi’s been on a 125 for a while.
He knows what it can do.
Now he wants more.
R400 locked in.
We asked him a few things.
What made you decide it was time to move up from the 125?
“I’ve really enjoyed my time on the Akita 125. It was a great bike to learn on and just cruise around. But after a while, I started feeling like I needed more power, especially for longer rides and highway use. The R400 felt like the right next step, more punch, but still manageable and fun daily.”
First ride on the R400 — what stood out immediately?
“The power difference. It’s way more responsive, especially on acceleration. It also feels more stable and planted at higher speeds. Compared to the 125, everything just feels more solid and confident.”
You mentioned going café racer with this build — what’s the vision?
“I’m going for a café racer with a customised single-seater, but not the usual minimalist style. I want something with more presence. A bold, detailed build that still keeps the classic racer DNA. Thinking clip-ons, a sculpted solo seat, and custom touches to give it personality. Clean, but not plain.”
125 to 400.
Now it becomes his.

RIDER 13 // KYE
No introductions needed. Kye’s been a big part of the club since getting on a Mutt 125 back in 2023, so it only feels right that his next step is onto one of our Creo 400ccs.
And knowing Kye, this is just the beginning.
Expect plenty of custom touches.

First 45 // Rider 14
Meet Ann.
Ann has been riding a Mutt 125 for quite some time now, pushing it through daily commutes and weekend rides. Now she’s ready for the next step.
We asked her about her first impressions of the bike and what made her decide it was time to move up.
Q&A
First time you tried the R400… what was the first thought in your head?
The first thing that struck me was the ergonomics and balance. The R400 felt remarkably light and nimble. The ride felt effortless, and the suspension tuning is far more refined than what I’m used to on my Mutt. It soaks up road imperfections without losing that essential feedback.
How does the R400 compare to your Mutt 125?
Compared to my Mutt 125, it definitely feels more stable, smoother and more fun to ride. The 400cc makes highway speeds feel comfortable rather than strained.
Why did you decide the R400 was the next bike for you?
Honestly, it’s a mix of DNA and a need for speed. My dad used to pick me up from school on his scrambler, so I was pretty much destined to end up on a café racer. After two years of squeezing everything I can out of my Mutt 125, I’m ready to stop “commuting” and start really riding.
The R400 gives me that extra muscle I’ve been craving, and since Creo is a playground for customisation, I can make it truly mine. It’s the perfect partner for me to level up my skills and finally chase those bucket-list road trips.
We can't wait to see you zip through the expressways on your R400. Thanks so much, Ann🫡

FIRST 45 // Rider 36
Meet Sonny.
A jiu jitsu coach who’s into simple, vintage bikes.
He was originally searching for a Yamaha SR400… until the R400 showed up on his radar.
Booked a test ride.
Then it made sense.
We asked him a few things.
What drew you to the R400?
“I was searching for a Yamaha SR400, then suddenly I saw the R400. After I booked a test ride, I realised the R400 is what I’m looking for.”
What was your first impression when you rode it the first time?
“It’s cool and simple. A blank canvas that can do a lot of custom.”
What kind of build do you have in mind?
“I’m inspired by brat style. It’s cool and comfy, with style at the same time.”
A simple bike.
A lot of possibilities.
