Devamı çok yakında Kahramanmaraş’tan Singapur’a: Bir Aşçının Yolculuğu
Ben Ahmet Akpınar, 1981’de Kahramanmaraş’ta doğdum ve İstanbul’da büyüdüm. Babamın yanında esnaf lokantacılığını öğrendim, 17 yaşında usta olarak çalışmaya başladım. Askerliğimi Komando Okulu’nda yaptıktan sonra Antalya’da The Marmara Hotel’de çalıştım. Orada tanıştığım bir müşteri beni ülkesine gelmek için davet etti. Singapur’un nerede olduğunu bilmeden, Hotmail ve Messenger üzerinden dört beş ay yazıştıktan sonra, Türk restoranında çalışacağını düşünerek Singapur’a gittim. Aslında adamın Çin restoranı varmış.

Today was a proud moment for me.
We had the honour of hosting Musa Avsever, one of Türkiye’s most respected generals.
It was not my destiny to serve him in the army, but today I had the privilege of serving him through my craft by preparing a meal for him. That was a great honour and happiness for me.
