After many wonderful years of serving memories on a plate, it is with a heavy heart that we share that Old School Delights at The Esplanade will permanently close on 8 June 2026.
For the past years, we have had the privilege of welcoming families, friends, students, office workers, and many familiar faces through our doors. We have celebrated birthdays, shared laughter over meals, and watched children grow up while enjoying the tastes and memories of simpler times.
What started as a passion for preserving local flavours and nostalgia became much more because of you. Your support, encouragement, stories, and smiles have meant everything to us.
To everyone who has dined with us, brought your loved ones, recommended us to friends, or supported us throughout this journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have been part of the Old School Delights family.
We invite you to visit us one last time before 8 June, to share a meal and create a few more memories together.
This may be goodbye to our chapter at The Esplanade, but the memories will always remain.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Old School Delights ❤️

“Old School Delights is a classroom-themed cafe that dishes authentic home-cooked style food, which will bring you right back to the '80s. This plate of Old School Grilled Chicken Chop is served on a nostalgic yellow enamel plate. The chicken chop had been marinated overnight and grilled with olive oil, so the meat was tender and juicy while the skin was addictively piquant and peppery. I loved how it was served with baked beans, crinkle-cut fries and coleslaw, and accompanied by a house-made black pepper and mayo sauce. Dining here certainly brought the feels - it makes me want to whip out the old photo albums and take a walk down memory lane! “
Thank you for the wonderful feature, we look forward to welcoming you back at Old School Delights!

“Old School Delights uses original recipes passed down from generation to generation. They use the original methods of preparation that were handed down the family and more tedious to make the dishes. They also believe in using solely natural and fresh ingredients to get the flavours they want hence no MSG is used at all.”
Thank you Rachael Wong for the kind feature! We hope to see you again soon!
