What’s Africa Day without a full spread of Utu goodness?
We’ve got your tummies covered, starting with Plantain chips with a spicy Swahili fish dip and banana cinnamon soft serve to round it all out.

For brunch, a tamarind and ginger drink straight out of Northern Ghana, Lamurji. Sharp, complex and refreshing.
Tamarind, old ginger, cane sugar, black pepper, cloves, cayenne pepper, paprika powder.
For dinner, Mbirimbi — a star fruit cocktail with a warm peppery finish made with just the perfect balance of boozy and tropical.
Vodka, starfruit, passionfruit, lime, selim pepper.
Same cosy corner of Jiak Chuan Road, same ol’ incredible pan-African flavour.

If there’s one thing we’re good at, it’s celebrations. Cinco de Mayo is no exception.
Utu Michelada is our spin on a Mexican classic that we couldn’t leave alone, and the Green Mamba, our Utu original cocktail are both bright, uniquely balanced and with a tinge of familiarity.
Good drinks deserve good company.

Let’s celebrate and toast to the strong women in our lives 💕
Our Seven Spiced Smoked Pork Belly is made with a great deal of time and labour. Smoked for 12 hours and sous-vide for 15 more, that care makes all the difference in creating a tender, juicy slab of protein! Under it is a passionfruit chutney to cut enhance all those flavours and keep you reaching for more.
Usawa means ‘balance’ in Swahili and is our brunch special, made with slow-cooked red dates, oat milk and finished with a salted pear cold foam. It strikes that perfect balance to portray the warmth and comfort of a mother’s embrace.
For dessert, our Ladobe fritters are a sweet yet lightly spiced treat. Sweet potatoes, coconut cream, cream with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla, just thinking about it is making our mouths water.
To top it all off, Rooted in Love is a representation of how deep and floral our Mother’s love goes for us. This cocktail is a blend of tequila, earthy beetroot, tropical passionfruit, and a hint of floral violet liqueur. For depth, it is also made with some bittersweet Aperol before being served in a smoked salt-rimmed glass with candied beetroot and passionfruit gel.

Bean Stew Rolex.
Inspired by the Ugandan street food favourite, where chapati is rolled up with warm fillings for a quick, hearty meal.
This version comes with a rich bean stew laid beautifully over a soft, pillowy omelette and chapati. Simple at first glance but deceptively full of flavour, with deep savoury notes that give you those comforting and warm feels. Guess what? It’s also happens vegetarian-friendly!

Floral Affair 🌺
A refreshing touch of floral and fruity flavors, where vodka meets the sweetness of green apple, the subtle bitterness of Aperol, and the intoxicating scents of jasmine and hibiscus. To give it a touch of brightness, we decided on just a squeeze of lemon, and finally, finished with a bubbly Prosecco topper. Perfect as a light yet flavourful accompaniment to your meal.
Umami Smooch 💋
A rich, savory twist on a classic whiskey cocktail where every element works to elevate the other. Sip into a velvety-smooth Nikka From The Barrel combined with a sweet-salty homemade honey butter miso, finished with a hint of umami bitters. To top it off, a spritz of gold dust. All that glitters may not be gold, but it might just turn out to be liquid gold.

Rich, smoky, deeply savoury.
Rooted in West African home kitchens, this stews is built on patience and instinct. As pots simmer low, each ingredient holds its own in a stew that’s balanced and memorable.
As a result, our Groundnut Stew unfolds in layers. First comes the natural richness of peanuts, followed by the gentle umami of smoked fish and bacon. Juicy chicken thigh and collard greens round things out, with habanero bringing a warmth that lingers. Distinct, comforting, and unmistakably West African.
Catch us before we close for a short break over Christmas, or when we're back open for New Years Eve!

• Smoked beef cheek: Australian wagyu beef cheek, smoked for 12 hours, dry aged for 7 days
• Smoked eel: cured for 3 days, smoked for 20 hours

❄️✨ Christmas Special cocktails for all of December, day til night!
For brunch, First Frost and Chai Margarita.
First frost is a medley of bright, crisp apple and a touch of floral warmth,. It’s milk-washed for a smooth, silky finish but still carries a refreshing, crisp quality that embodies what we imagine the first snow feels like. Chai Margarita, on the other hand, is a warm hug followed by a kick of spice cinnamon-infused tequila.
For evenings, John Dough. An indulgent yet balanced, nostalgic yet sophisticated whisky-based cocktail. This puts you in a mood to have a drink in front of a crackling fireplaces, ugly sweater parties, and everyone who agrees that Christmas should taste like dessert and good whisky.
