Hi friends.
It has been a challenging year for us and it is with a heavy heart that we write this note to announce the closure of both our Circular Road and Suntec City outlets on 13 December 2020. It has been a fruitful 4 years since we started serving you casual and affordable Taiwanese fare in the heart of CBD.
We’ll definitely miss the buzzing space filled with happy faces, laughter and nostalgic Mandopop music playing in the background while the beer glasses clink. Though it's announced with such short notice, we do hope to see you at our space in the remaining days before we close.
Last operating day:
Circular Road - 13 Dec 2020
Suntec City - 13 Dec 2020
With love,
The Salted Plum team

6 North Canal Road

The Salted Plum is a Taiwanese restaurant that captures the essence of Taiwan's culture and flavors. Founded by Shawn Kishore, who fell in love with the comforting and rich profile of Taiwanese cuisine during his time living and working in Taiwan, The Salted Plum aims to bring the authentic sit-down dining experience to Singapore.
What sets The Salted Plum apart from other Taiwanese street snack chains is its commitment to providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for friends and families to gather over their appetite for Taiwanese cuisine. The restaurant's name itself, inspired by the versatile Chinese ingredient and the national flower of Taiwan, reflects its dedication to celebrating the country's culinary heritage.
Located in the heart of Circular Road, The Salted Plum offers a casual yet convivial vibe that allows diners to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're visiting their Boat Quay or Suntec City location, you can expect a welcoming ambiance that mirrors the eateries found along the bustling streets of Taiwan.
One of the highlights of dining at The Salted Plum is their innovative approach to Taiwanese fare. Originally starting as a pop-up eatery known as FiveTen, they gained notoriety for serving up inventive dishes at affordable prices. This concept has been carried over to The Salted Plum, where you can indulge in a wide range of flavorful dishes without breaking the bank.
From their signature Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) to their mouthwatering Fried Chicken Cutlet, every dish at The Salted Plum is crafted with care and attention to detail. Each bite transports you straight to Taiwan, allowing you to savor the authentic flavors that make Taiwanese cuisine so beloved.
The friendly staff at The Salted Plum further enhances your dining experience. Their warm hospitality ensures that every visit feels like a gathering among friends. Whether you're seeking recommendations or simply want to learn more about Taiwanese cuisine, they are always ready to assist and make your dining experience memorable.
Overall, The Salted Plum is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Taiwanese cuisine in Singapore. With its inviting atmosphere, innovative dishes, and friendly staff, it's no wonder that this restaurant has won over the hearts of locals and visitors alike since its establishment in 2017. So gather your loved ones and head to The Salted Plum for a delightful culinary journey through Taiwan's vibrant food scene.
