We're stoked..and let's tell you why!
Right from child to adult, partner to parent and then founder, Jamuna Paati has always exuded confidence and spoken her mind without hesitation! Fiercely independent, she's a torchbearer for all of us and we wanted to truly celebrate her.
So, this June, we're taking the opportunity to curate a banana leaf feast on the occasion of her birthday weekend. 🥳
Two days, three states and a promise of stories, food and the warmth of being a part of her extended family.
If you've been coming to our monthly banana leaf specials or this is your first time, you're in for a treat!
Do not miss this! Event details and booking link to our Whatson page in bio!

Need some calm in your life?
The Panakam (panagam) is a simple yet immaculate South Indian sweet-spiced tonic. It's made with dry ginger powder, cardamom powder, black pepper and lemon juice (for tang). The key ingredients have a cooling, calming influence on the body.
In our homes and in our lives, whenever there's been turbulence, emotional turmoil or just uncertainty, there's always been one calming and cooling influence...Amma! 🤎
Thank you to all the mothers who maintain calm in our lives, offer stability and give their love unconditionally.
We've never had to ask, it's always there for the giving.
Happy Mother's Day from Podi & Poriyal!

Before we knew hunger,
there was her kitchen.
The quiet clink of vessels.
The scent of coconut, spice, and patience.
A meal that arrived without asking—
steady, warm, unwavering.
Amma’s Aasirvaad is our tribute to that love.
A journey across six states of India,
where every dish carries a memory,
and every flavour speaks of care.
This Mother’s Day, we serve not just food,
but gratitude—
for the hands that fed us,
and the hearts that made us whole.
Six States. One Heart.
Inspired by the food Amma made with love.

Today, we had the privilege of hosting the Honorable President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Ms. Jane Ittogi, spouse of the President and their friends.
We gave the group our unique Oppisu experience, in which we take our guests through a tasting journey, whilst sharing stories of the food, heritage and context to make the dining experience more unique.
They listened patiently, asked thoughtful questions and took both our taste challenges, winning one of them, earning a free dessert! ❤️
The attention to detail and the curiosity they exhibited was refreshing! We thank them for choosing to dine with us today and hope to see them back soon!

Before restaurants. Before menus.
There was the banana leaf.
This Tamil New Year, we return to Sangam-era roots, with a festive meal inspired by the foods of Tamilakam’s five landscapes — from millet-rich drylands to coconut-lined coasts.
Slow-cooked, hand-ground, and steeped in meaning, this is a lunch meant to be lingered over, shared, and remembered.
Hosted over two weekends, this four-day culinary journey is rooted in Sangam regional wisdom, forgotten ingredients and dishes rarely seen outside homes - slow, seasonal and deeply meaningful.
