Dear friends of Tigerlily Patisserie,
Chef Maxine Ngooi here, co-founder of Tigerlily Patisserie. It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the permanent closure of Tigerlily. Our last day of operations will fall on 30 April. It has been an incredible journey, not one without challenges, but infinitely filled with joy, laughter and the mouth-watering aroma of baked treats that overwhelm our shop everyday.
It has been nothing short of wonderful watching Tigerlily grow, from its conceptualisation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, where we started making bake boxes to spread joy amidst the uncertainties and restrictions. With a mission to bring in something refreshing and fun to the bakery scene in Singapore, I was determined to create each artisanal pastry with integrity and commitment to the craft, and use this avenue for me to showcase the delectable flavours of my heritage.
As we take a moment to reflect on our journey, we are filled with gratitude for the love and unwavering support you’ve shown us over the years. We have been honoured to be awarded 3 spoons for the Museum of Ice Cream’s Sweet Spot Awards, and for being voted Pastry Chef of the Year at the World Gourmet Awards, and to be included in Prestige’s list of 40 under 40!
The past four years have been a wild ride, and it is with bittersweet emotions that we made the difficult decision to close our doors. The world has evolved since we started and I feel that it's time to retire Tigerlily to personally reset and explore new culinary adventures. While this chapter may be coming to an end, we will hold the memories and connections we made forever in our hearts. With every heartfelt message we inscribed on the cakes, we are grateful to be part of your lives and celebrations. As the driving force behind our passion for baking and creating every treat, we thank you for believing in us. It is a project that I poured my heart and soul into, and I hope it was able to touch yours.
