It is with gut-wrenching sadness that we announce the unexpected closure of The Guild.

Since we opened, we’ve been more than just a gastropub where craft meets comfort — we became a community, a place where you could find comfort in expertly crafted dishes, sip on world class brewery-fresh beers and raise a glass to life with our highballs, cocktails and wines. We strived to deliver not just exceptional food and drinks but also a space filled with genuine warmth and hospitality, where people from all walks of life could feel at home.

At the heart of the physical space was our striking round marble bar which was more than a centerpiece—it was a place where friends were forged, where people found relaxation and respite after a long day, where milestones were celebrated. It was the backdrop for countless shared moments as we watched friendships blossom, conversations flow and a community form. It was a place of discovery and connection, embodying a convivial spirit unique to The Guild.

Sadly, this chapter has come to an abrupt end. In the midst of ongoing lease negotiations with our landlord 8M, a process made all the more difficult by the intense challenges the F&B industry has faced in Singapore, these talks ultimately broke down. We had hoped to reach a fair agreement but the premises were reclaimed by our landlord leaving us with no recourse but to close. This was not the way we had hoped to say goodbye but despite our best efforts, circumstances were beyond our control.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every single one of you for your unwavering support, trust, and love over the years. Though we are closing this chapter, we remain hopeful that this is not a farewell, but rather a “see you soon.”

While we shed a little tear today, we also choose to smile for the countless memories we’ve made together. While they can take the physical space away from us, we hope that the ideas embodied by The Guild will live on. We invite you to hold onto those memories together with us. Let’s keep the spirit of The Guild alive by sharing some of your favorite moments in the comments below:

To get to Keong Saik Road, you can take the MRT and alight at Outram Park station, then walk towards Keong Saik Road which is located approximately 10 minutes away. Alternatively, you can take bus numbers 61, 166, or 197 and alight at the bus stop along New Bridge Road near People's Park Complex. From there, it's a short walk of around 5-10 minutes to Keong Saik Road.

For those who are driving, there are limited public parking spaces available along Keong Saik Road itself. Alternatively, you can park at nearby public car parks such as the one located at Block 333 Kreta Ayer Road or at Chinatown Complex. However, do note that parking rates tend to be quite steep in this area.
