Dear customers,
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share that our beloved family member and familiar face at Free the Robot, Baileys, crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.
Baileys loved greeting every one of you and making our days brighter simply by being there. He was family, and we will miss him more than words can ever express.
Free the Robot will be closed on 2 and 3 September to give our team time to rest and grieve. We will reopen on 4 September.
Thank you to everyone who visited him at his little makeshift playpen, shared a meal or coffee beside him, secretly fed him under the table, gave him scratches and pats, and loved him throughout the years.
Baileys will forever be part of our home, our family and the countless memories made here. His little corner may now be empty, but the love he left behind will fill this place forever. 🤍🌈

🔑🔒 Lock in the date!
Sam is delighted to be back behind the decks for brunch on 26 July — right where it all began.
He first cut his teeth as a resident DJ at Free The Robot’s legendary Sunday brunches, clocking marathon 5–6 hour sets that shaped his sound and stamina. Since then, he’s brought his grooves to M Social, The Edition Hotel, Rasa, ARK11, Fate by HaveFun and Kinki Bar.
While he enjoys a good club night, Sam has a soft spot (almost guiltily) for beach club sessions — from Rumours Beach Club and Sand Bar in Sentosa, to poolside parties at 1-Altitude, W Hotel, The Mondrian, Voco and COMO hotels — where the sun, sea and music melt into one easy rhythm.
On weekends, you’ll usually find him at Rabbit’s Hole, BYOT, Host or Ta***ic, and occasionally further afield in Jakarta, Bali and Bangkok.
Coming back to Free The Robot feels like a full-circle moment — same spirit, deeper crates, and more stories in the music. Expect a proper brunch journey of deep house, pop sing alongs and even some bangers to get you on your feet!

To get to Telok Ayer Street, you can take the MRT and alight at Telok Ayer station. Take Exit A and walk along Cross Street until you reach Telok Ayer Street. The coffee shop is located a few blocks down on your left.
If you are driving, there are paid parking spots available along the street or at nearby parking lots such as Amoy Street Food Centre or URA Centre. You can take the Central Expressway (CTE) towards the city and turn left onto Robinson Road, left onto McCallum Street and finally left onto Amoy Street which leads onto Telok Ayer Street.
Alternatively, there are also several bus stops nearby serviced by various bus routes such as 80, 145, and 622.
