After 15+ incredible years, today marks the end of an unforgettable chapter at Smith’s. 📍
We’ve served thousands of fish & chips, shared countless laughs, made lifelong friendships, and created memories that will stay with us forever. While it’s sad to close the door one last time, we’re leaving with nothing but gratitude for the amazing support, love, and loyalty you’ve shown us throughout the years.
This isn’t goodbye — it’s simply the end of one journey and hopefully the beginning of another. We can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us. 👀

Yesterday, 17th May, was our final day at Smith’s 🇸🇬💙
This morning felt strange… no fish to cut, no chips to prep, no rush behind the counter — just packing everything away after nearly 18 incredible years.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you 🙏
To every customer who supported us over the years, queued up these last few weeks, shared memories, brought friends & family, and showed us so much love… we truly appreciate it.

It’s been massively busy tonight, queues right down the lane, but what’s made us proud is the positivity from everyone. Patience, kindness, and a team that’s worked their hearts out all day long.
In challenging times, it’s about sticking together, moving forward, and looking after one another — and that’s exactly what this community has done for us. 🇸🇬

Here’s the truth at Smith’s.
90% of the fish & chip shops in SG take the easy route—pre-frozen, bagged fries that sit in a freezer for months. Not here. We’re still doing it the hard way: Cutting our potatoes fresh every single day. It’s more work, but that is a non-negotiable. 🐟
Our fish is caught and frozen fresh at the source to lock in that sea-to-table quality before it’s imported straight to our kitchen.
When you add in the rising costs of rent, manpower and everything in between, the math gets tough.
But here’s the thing: we aren’t trying to be the cheapest meal on the block. We’re trying to be the best meal for your money.
In a world of “fast food,” a proper chippy is becoming a rare find. We’ll always choose quality over shortcuts because you know the difference.
