We have been serving Hoshino Seicha En's commercial and ceremonial matcha at Pacto Maxwell for a while. If the highest level of Japanese tea master is 10-dan and there are only about 15 such masters all over Japan, then Hoshino Seicha En must be the best tea company in Japan, having 2 such tea masters.
We want our teas to be traceable to the farm. The source of all our teas (and coffees) are stated on parchmen.co. We demand the same for our matcha. A lot of Japanese suppliers have come look for us but could not fulfil our demand for them to reveal their source.
We celebrate not only the product, but more importantly, the craftsmanship behind it - the tea masters, the farms. Their hard work and talent should not be hidden and left behind. As such, we would always reveal where we get our products from.
For Hoshino Seicha En, their matcha is endorsed by all the centuries-year old matcha schools in Japan. This makes their matcha a true ceremonial matcha used in real matcha ceremonies.

Our very low resolution (but with great resolute 🤣) effort in "beautifying" our humble little cafe. The lavender field reflects the name of the area, which was actually the collection point for nightsoil in the 1850s. The road was thus named hoping to improve its image and also highlighted the intense aroma of lavender. We hope our offerings of coffee and tea perfume your day. The football references the birthplace of Singapore football. 2 min' walk away, Jalan Besar Stadium is the homeground of Young Lions premier league club and the headquarters of Football Association of Singapore (FAS). The cat references the few fluffy resident fur kids of Jalan Besar Community Club where our cafe resides on level 1.
