Modern Southeast Asian flavours with a gorgeous space to match ✨
Visited Hathaway at Capital Tower and the first thing I noticed was the super high ceiling — such a nice change of scenery, and it was fully booked indoors on a weekday!
Tried a mix of their signatures:
🥟 Kueh Pie Tee — always a good start
🍢 G*i Galae — tender, well-marinated meat with that satay-like flavour.
🐟 Ah Nya’s Fish Curry — my favourite! Creamy with just the right richness, but not spicy, so I could happily keep going back for more.
🍜 Hathaway’s Signature Laksa — this was more of a dry laksa for me as there wasn’t much broth, but the fresh prawns and crispy crackers gave it some nice texture.
🍗 Hathaway’s Chicken Rice — tender white chicken, and as someone who loves white chicken, this was pretty good though the sauce over the chicken was abit starchy
🌿 Nasi Ulam — looked almost like nasi briyani but much more fragrant. There were shallots and coriander mixed through though, so I spent quite a bit of time picking them out 😂
🍌 Pengat Pisang French Toast — generous amount of banana with fruits over French toast.
🍨 Princess of the Straits — a pretty name for Puteri Salat served with pengat sauce and salted gula Jawa ice cream. Everything came together really nicely.
They also have wine by the glass, coffee and non-coffee options like matcha and apple juice, so there’s something for everyone.
