HAMIDAH’S KITCHEN is truly humbled and honoured to receive the GILMS Prime Elite Brand Award 2026, presented recently at an awards dinner in Sentosa. ❤️
To be honest, we are not even sure if we deserve this award. There are many wonderful F&B businesses out there, and we are only in our fifth year with still so much to learn.
We are not a high-end café. We are simply a humble café trying our best to serve good, honest food that people enjoy. We are especially thankful that our Dum Briyani and other dishes have been so well accepted by our customers.
This award is especially dedicated to Chef Rashid, who has worked tirelessly behind the kitchen from the beginning. He genuinely loves cooking, takes great care with every dish and finds his greatest satisfaction in seeing people enjoy his food.
But no kitchen can succeed without its team. ❤️
Our heartfelt thanks to Hannah, who manages our social media, Fiza, who manages our operations and online orders, and our entire kitchen crew, service and admin team. Many work quietly behind the scenes, but every one of you has contributed to keeping Hamidah’s Kitchen going. We owe this recognition to you too.
And of course, the woman whose name our café proudly carries — my mother, Hamidah. A wonderful cook herself, we believe her name has brought much barakah to our little café. Please keep her in your doa for continued good health and happiness. 🤲❤️
Running an F&B business today is challenging, with rising costs, high rentals, manpower shortages and strong competition. Like many small businesses, sometimes we wonder how long we can continue.
But our answer is simple:
As long as our customers enjoy our food and continue supporting us, InsyaAllah, we will be around.
