I know I'm late to post this, but I just really wanted to send love to everyone celebrating Pride this weekend, and to the LGBTQ+ community in general. I want to acknowldge the good fight that you all have fought, and am so happy that your voices have finally been heard!
As a mother, it is important to me that my daughter grows up to know she has the freedom to love whoever she loves. That not all families may look like ours, but that does not mean they are any less filled with love. That she can follow her heart unreservedly and be her truest self, and know - without a doubt - that I will not only accept her, but support her and continue to love her unconditionally. And find peace knowing that she will also receive the same treatment in society.

Hello friends! I am excited to announce that we will be popping up at the red day event this Sunday, 18th June, 2-6pm! ๐ฅณ
This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and FREE TO ATTEND!

Wow, it has been 1 year since I've taken a hiatus. It has been a long journey, but I have finally come to the point where I am ready to get this going again.
Business details aside, I thought I'd start by sharing why I basically fell off the face of the earth.
At the end of March 2022, my ex-business partner decided to move on from the business to focus on her professional development and for a more stable financial situation. She was the one that did the baking then, and for that, I am grateful. We could not have achieved so much (pop-ups & festive sales) without her time commitment.
Right around this time, I had come to a grave realization that I had completely misunderstood general book keeping and accounting practices. This "mistake" completely PETRIFIED ME. I am VERY hard on myself when things go wrong, so the fear of failure was crippling; I started having anxiety attacks and fell down a rabbit hole of self-doubt and questioning my self-worth. So I basically "ran away and hid" from everything that was related to this business.
Whenever the thought of baking again came around, I would be consumed with trepidation - of not being able to juggle everything in my life + managing all the aspects of running an online baking biz on my own.
But over the past months, I've been working on overcoming this through workshops, prayers, seeking God and finding other things that fulfil me; and I am finally learning to forgive myself, and be more courageous.
I now have a clearer direction on WHY I am doing this and HOW I want to go about it. I want my bakes to be authentic to my personal mission, and my business to be more about community and building relationships than just sales.

It is really important for me to be honest with you all about why I stepped away, but also why I am coming back ๐ค Welcome to this new era. I am so glad you are here.
