Five years ago, at the height of the pandemic, Ang Mo Liang Teh was born. The world felt uncertain, streets were quiet, and most people were just trying to get through each day. But the idea behind Ang Mo Liang Teh was simple: good craft beer, honest conversations, and a place where people could forget about the outside world for a while, and that led to open our tiny bottleshop in Bukit Merah. What started as a small, slightly crazy idea slowly became something much bigger than we ever imagined.
Over the years, we transit into our bar at Shenton Way and it became more than just a place to grab a drink. It became a space filled with familiar faces, late-night debates, spontaneous celebrations, and friendships that were forged over a good pint. To everyone who walked through the door, supported us, brought their friends, and kept coming back, we thank you. To our suppliers and partners who believed in us from the start, and to the many regulars who became friends along the way, we are deeply grateful for the role you played in this journey.
After five long and memorable years, we’ve made the decision to close this chapter of Ang Mo Liang Teh, because every good story eventually reaches its turning point. What matters most to us are the memories created, the laughter we shared, and the community that formed around a mutual love for good beer.
With that, our last day at Shenton Way will be on 17 April 2026.
But this isn’t goodbye. While the physical bar may be closing as our lease comes to an end, the spirit of Ang Mo Liang Teh continues. We will once again, transit into corporate events, beer tasting workshops, and our mobile craft beer bar. So in one way or another, there will always be another pint to share somewhere down the road. Until then, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the story.
