Ever wondered how the name Ketoprak came about?
It is derived from the acronym of its ingredients, ket from ketupat, to from tahu and toge, and prak from digeprak which means "mashed" or "crushed".
Another interesting story many believed was from a man who dropped the dish on the floor and the plate made the sound "ketoprak", which was where he got the idea for the name.
As this dish has a long rich history in Indonesia, it has become one of Indonesia's iconic dishes and a favourite among many locals.

Food in Indonesian culture brings people together. This is one of the visions we have here.
Many Indonesian meals were originally created as communal dishes, and served during traditional ceremonies, rituals, or gatherings.
There used to be an old tradition where people will pool money together to buy ingredients to cook together, then eat the dishes as a group, as communal portions are laid on one big banana leaf.
This sense of togetherness is still an important part of a local dining experience, no matter what meal you’re having.
Bring your family and friends together and create memories with them.
