Deepu turned on the gas cylinder, put a pan on the gas, got some oil in the pan, tempered some mustard seeds + added some chopped chillies + chopped coriander + a dash of hing(asafoetida) and added them to a bowl of grated carrots + some salt to taste. He proudly served it to his parents when they got home.
