It’s with a heavy heart that we share this news—our Margaret Drive outlet will be closing on 26th of this month as our lease comes to an end.

This wasn’t an easy decision. We poured our hearts into setting up this second outlet, hoping to bring our Lala-love to more customers. But the reality is, the location at Margaret Drive has seen consistently low footfall, and with rising rental costs, it has become increasingly unsustainable to continue.

The F&B scene in Singapore is not an easy one—every day is a battle with manpower shortages, tight margins, and increasing overheads. And while passion keeps us going, practical decisions must sometimes be made.

We’re truly grateful to everyone who supported our Margaret Drive branch, whether you were a regular or visited us just once. Your support means the world to us, and it’s what keeps our spirit strong despite the setbacks.

Our main outlet at Fortune Centre is still going strong, and we’ll be keeping to one location for now, while we take time to search for a better-suited second spot in the future.

This isn’t goodbye—it’s just a short pause. We remain committed to our mission of serving the freshest, live-lala bee hoon, and we’ll continue to pour our love into every bowl.

Celebrating 5 Years of Lala Love: Thank You for Being Part of Our Journey!

Today marks WaWa Lala Bee Hoon’s 5th anniversary, and as we reflect on this incredible journey, our hearts are filled with gratitude for all of you—our loyal customers, friends, and supporters.

Five years ago, we embarked on a bold dream: to make Lala (clams) not just a side dish but the star of a unique cuisine. Starting from pop-up stores at events, fueled by your enthusiastic support, we took a leap of faith to open our first outlet at Star of Kovan in 2020. Little did we know the challenges that awaited us, from navigating the uncertainty of COVID-19 to overcoming the struggles of growing a small business during a global pandemic.

Yet through it all, your love and encouragement kept our Lala-love alive. From Food King's three-star review in 2019 to every kind word, every returning customer, and every delivery order during the toughest times—you reminded us why we started this journey.

We’ve had our share of ups and downs, opening a second outlet at Fortune Centre and navigating yet another wave of challenges. But as Chef Kiang always says, "The only way forward is to keep trying and adapting." And that’s exactly what we’ll continue to do.

This milestone belongs to all of us. To our amazing team who pour their heart into every dish, to our customers who keep coming back, and to our friends and family who cheer us on—thank you for believing in us.
