For the month of June, Permata Singapore is bringing Penang: Flavours of the Orient to its halal buffet spread, curated by celebrity chef Chef Mel Dean. Housed in the historic Gedung Kuning, Permata is also known as a dining spot frequented by celebrities, diplomats and dignitaries.
Expect over 50 dishes inspired by the bold, vibrant flavours of Penang — from seafood on ice and DIY Penang Assam Laksa to hearty favourites like Nasi Kandar, Mee Sotong Penang, Chilli Crab, Tulang Merah, Penang Char Kway Teow and more. Don’t forget to save space for desserts like kueh, pulut hitam and bubur som som too.
The 1-for-1 promo runs from 1–30 June 2026, applicable for adult guests only, including public holidays.

This sounds fake, but I dined like a sultana for a day at one of the most luxurious buffet experiences in Singapore.
The vibe? Majestic, grand, and seriously delicious.
I started with their seafood on ice, fresh and beautifully presented.
Then came the meat station, loaded with crowd favourites like rendang, butter chicken, and Singapore chilli crab.
They also have a live noodle station, serving handmade laksa, cooked fresh right in front of you.
Next were their Nusantara-inspired dishes—roti jala with potato curry, nasi lemak with pandan rice, lempeng kelapa, creamy mushroom penne with prawn fritters, and a standout torch ginger and calamansi capers fish.
And of course, dessert—a generous spread of traditional sweets and cakes.
This buffet features signature dishes from Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and the Riau Islands.
They’re running a 1-for-1 buffet till 31st Jan.

Alternatively, you can take buses 7, 32, 51, 61, 63, 80 or 145 and alight at the Sultan Mosque bus stop.
