Chicken wings look cooked fast on the pit — but that is exactly why they burn so easily 🔥
If your wings always get too dark outside before the inside is done, the real problem is usually heat control. Start with fully thawed wings, keep the marinade on, and set up a cooler side and a hotter side on the pit. Cook them gently first, then move them over at the end for better colour and light char.
One more tip that makes a big difference: check for clear juices before serving, and brush extra sauce only at the end so it caramelises instead of burning too early.

Nobody wants to spend the whole gathering standing at the BBQ pit 🔥
This time, our BBQ chef team was on-site at Clover By The Park, Bishan to handle the grilling, so the host and guests could relax and enjoy the event instead.
From unloading and setup, to grilling satay, wings, sausages, seafood and more, we keep the food coming out in batches so everything is smoother on the day. We also help manage the pit, timing, and pack-down after.
A fun little highlight for this event: it was our first time grilling on a round BBQ pit, and it was definitely an interesting experience for the team. Every venue setup is a bit different, and that is part of what makes on-site BBQ service so enjoyable for us too.

Not sure how much satay to order for your BBQ? This simple rule helps.
For most mixed-menu BBQs, a good starting point is around 6–10 satay sticks per adult — then adjust based on your crowd and menu.
If satay is one of the main items, go higher. If you have more carbs, seafood, or many kids in the group, you may not need as much.
But if it’s mostly hungry adults and not many filling sides, you’ll likely want to increase the number.
