Truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking this wonderful journey with us. It was a good 5 years we had! ❤️

We will never be where we are without you.

We also ask for your forgiveness for any shortcomings, as we did our best, even if we occasionally fell short unintentionally.

A special thank you to our dear customers, friends, and especially family for your endless prayers and unwavering support. We are definitely grateful to our amazing team who have been incredible since day one, trusting and believing in us!

💔💔💔 Officially the Last Day - Yesterday!

It has been a wonderful journey with all of you. Thank you for the personal & heartfelt messages we've received since we announced our closure.

It hasn't been easy for us, but we felt it was necessary to close our doors. The rising operational costs were no longer sustainable & we knew this had to come to an end when our lease expires. 

We tried our best in our mission to share the amazing & unique dishes of Semarang. Some of our offerings were a hit, while others missed. Many of you loved our food, while some felt it was too sweet. Semarang cuisine tends to be on the sweeter side, as we often incorporate Gula Aren in our cooking. 

But, what humbled us the most was the love we've received from the majority of you. Your support has been enlightening, uplifting, & truly humbling. 

As we officially sign off, we want to express our gratitude once more for all of your support over the years. Thank you for allowing us, a young couple, to pursue our dreams. We began with HBB, selling sambals as a way to find some passive income during COVID, eventually opening a central kitchen & a 40 seat dine-in restaurant. While it may not have been a fancy establishment, it was the best we could offer. 
 
Why Semarang? 
Though our dad was from Blora & that we are 50% Indonesian, we fell in love with our helper's hometown during a visit. It was during our time there that we were motivated to learn how to cook Semarang dishes, specifically from a local. 

In embracing our culture, we chose to share Semarang cuisine with our dear Singaporeans, as there are no restaurants here offering unique Semarang dishes like Cilok, Cimol, Jagung Keriting, Tahu Gimbal, Iga Bakar, Lumpia Pisang, Piscok, & many more!

Anyway, your support has allowed us to earn a little extra & helped us support our helper's daughter through university. She is the first person from her village to achieve such academic success, & we are proud to have you played a part in it! Thank you so much! 

Your support not only put food on our table but also helped someone succeed in her education. You've enriched our lives with love! ❤️
